Sister Pamela Hadley Leonard is a native Floridian and a proud member of the Southside Church of Christ, Orlando, FL; where her high school

sweetheart and husband of 44 years, Wesley T. Leonard, serves as Senior Minister.


Sister Leonard, who is often told by others, “It seems like I have known you forever”, is active in several diversified ministries. She is willing to lend a hand when and where needed.


Sister Leonard has been blessed to speak on Ladies’ Day Programs and Conferences throughout the Southeastern United States, New York, Texas and abroad in South Africa.


Sister Leonard is a member of the Churches of Christ National Minister’s Wives Conference Advisory Committee. She is a past National President of the Hadley, Hawthorne, Dickey, Walden Reunion Association, Inc., (2011-2013). After 35 years of superior service with the state university system, Sister Leonard retired from The Florida A&M University in June 2022.



Sister Leonard adores spending time with her family. She likes to travel and volunteer. She also enjoys the great outdoors. As a season-ticket holder, Sister Leonard enjoys using her past cheerleading skills cheering on the FAMU Rattlers Football team.


One of Sister Leonard’s favorite scriptures is “Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might” Ephesians 6:10. Sister Leonard admires the writings of Dr. Maya Angelou. Two of her favorite Dr. Angelou quotes are “We delight in the beauty of the butterfly; but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty and “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion,

some compassion, some humor and some style”.


Sister Leonard is thankful to God for her husband and for blessing their union with two children, Johnathan (Simone), Houston, TX and Briana Singletary (Dwon), Orlando, FL. Sister Leonard is an elated member of the Grandparents Club. She is a proud Grammy of 3 grandsons Cailen Wesley age 10, Dallas Denarto age 5, and Johnathan Wesley, II age 1 and 1 granddaughter, Dahila Denise age 1. Sister Leonard says she chose for her grandchildren to call her Grammy because they are her “Grammy Awards”.
